Coverack is an unspoilt
fishing village steeped in history, tucked in this peaceful and most beautiful region of the West Country.
There are many picturesque fishermen's cottages.
There
is a beautiful sandy bay, which provides protection from the prevailing South Westerly winds. This results in an ideal learning area for windsurfing for the beginner, with a stronger wind area "Down Wind" for the intermediate and advanced sailors.
There is an excellent wind surfing centre in Coverack. The Centre, established in 1982 has become the premier destination in the heart of South West Cornwall, offering residential and non-residential Windsurfing Holidays and RYA Courses.
Fishing off the harbour wall is a very popular activity.
Fishing trips can be arranged with local boatmen.
Catches such as pollock, rasse, bass, and mackerel are very common.
