Llanrhaeadr is a small town to be found in a peaceful setting iPistyll Rhaeadr Waterfalln the Welsh Mountains, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.  The most spectacular sight is the 240 ft Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, four miles from the village.  It is one of the seven wonders of Wales.

Llanrhaeadr has a very significant position in Welsh history, Bishop William Morgan translated the Bible into Welsh while he was Vicar here. The lakes at Bala and Vyrnwy are renowned local beauty spots with visitor centres and water sports facilities

Nearby are the Castles at Chirk and Welshpool, and Erddig House near Wrexham is well worth visiting to see the particularly lovely gardens
