Loch Lomond presents the perfect holiday location, set amidst one of Scotland’s most idyllic and unspoilt areas with the largest expanse of fresh water in Britain and the backdrop of the mountains looming beyond. The loch is 24 miles long and 5 miles wide and at its deepest point is some 600 feet deep. It is renowned for beauty and tranquillity.

It is ideally situated for touring within Scotland with The Highlands to the north of the Loch, the West Coast and Islands a short drive away and Central Scotland, Glasgow and Edinburgh to the east.

Loch Lomond has always had a tradition of boating, the loch has been used by people wanting to enjoy the area from the water, for many years.  In recent years a survey has indicated that on a popular weekend there can be as many as 800 boats on the loch at any one time.

It is a paradise for bird spotters with some 200 species of birds being recorded and over 25% of Britain's wild plants have been found in the area.
